The Sikh Health Network is a US 501(c)(3) non-profit organization with the mission of empowering the Sikh community through trusted health initiatives. The Sikh Health Network has 3 objectives that we continue to pursue:
First, we enable FREE community health clinics at Gurdwaras around the world. In the past year, SHN has enabled three Gurdwara clinics in California, with 100+ registered physicians and 2000+ patient consultations to date. With our own HIPPA-compliant EMR system, we can register patient data, input vital signs, and track longitudinal patient health. Additionally, we provide malpractice insurance and liability to enable Sikh doctors / providers / partners to donate their time to patients.
Second, The Sikh Health Network empowers phycians across the country to use their experience and background as medical professionals to educate the public about preventative illnesses. We host a variety of educational resources such as face-to-face interviews, informative presentations, youth mentorship, and hands-on research. Many of these educational tools can be found on our website: www.sikhhealth.net
Third, we strive to influence the youth to take a path in community sevice, respect, and seva for ALL. To date, we have 200+ youth volunteers who organize, set-up, and run health clinics at their local Gurudwara. The Sikh Health Network hopes to be a beacon of oppurtunities for students, as we provide research oppurtunities, mentorship, and leadership experience to many.
