About the Sikh Rifle and Pistol Association
The Sikh Rifle and Pistol Association (SRPA) is a dedicated 501(c)(3) nonprofit public benefit corporation focused on firearm safety education, legal compliance, marksmanship training, and community preparedness. Rooted in our cultural ethos of tyar bar tyar (readiness) and responsible citizenship, our mission is to ensure every community member has access to disciplined, high-quality, and safety-first firearms instruction.
The Need: Bridging the Safety & Training Gap
Navigating state firearm regulations, safe handling fundamentals, and home defense laws can be overwhelming, especially for new and first-time firearm owners. Without structured, accessible guidance, community members often lack:
Comprehensive understanding of laws and legal compliance.
Proper practical instruction on safe handling, staging, and storage to prevent home accidents.
An inclusive, welcoming educational environment focused purely on disciplined safety and fundamentals rather than intimidation.
Our Plan: Year-Round Safety & Education Programs
With your support, SRPA delivers structured programs designed to build confidence, safety, and mastery:
Community Safety Seminars & Legal Workshops: Hosting accessible classroom sessions covering CA gun laws, safe home storage protocols, and child-safe lock distribution.
Beginner Clinics & FSC Preparation: Providing guided training to help new shooters pass certification exams and safely handle handguns before ever stepping onto a live range.
Subsidized Range Instruction: Partnering with certified instructors to conduct range days focused on marksmanship, trigger control, stance, and defensive safety fundamentals.
Bilingual Educational Resources: Developing high-quality safety literature, study materials, and video guides in both English and Punjabi.
