Great Sikh stories exist everywhere. Our mission is to find, film, and share them with the world.

For more than two decades, Sikhlens has worked with filmmakers, students, universities, and communities worldwide to document Sikh history, heritage, service, achievement, and contemporary life.

The Sikhlens Global Stories Film Fund brings two of our longstanding filmmaking initiatives—Destination S and Community Voices—together under one global film fund. Rather than asking donors to choose between different production programs, this fund supports what matters most: making and seeing meaningful Sikh stories.

From the Team

Sikhlens brings more than 25 years of experience producing, funding, and sharing Sikh-centered films and stories. Filmmaking is not new for us—it is a year-round program supported by an established network of filmmakers, universities, community partners, donors, and volunteers worldwide. Year after year, Sikhlens moves multiple projects from research and development through production, post-production, film festivals, educational screenings, and digital distribution. Our global network also enables us to identify important stories and mobilize production resources in different countries. Most importantly, we have a demonstrated ability to turn donor support into completed films that preserve Sikh history, amplify community voices, and reach audiences well beyond the communities where those stories originate. Our track record, experienced team, global partnerships, and active pipeline give us confidence that the Sikhlens Global Stories Film Fund can consistently move important stories from idea to screen.
