Intervention. Through our National U.S. Helpline 866.SFC.SEWA | 732.7392 sangat members can recieve culturally specific peer-counseling and non-emergency support in Punjabi and English. The phone line is staffed by volunteer peer counselors committed to supporting community members facing or fearing threats to their safety and wellbeing.
Violence Prevention Education. Our expertise and insights transform into groundbreaking primary prevention resources and tools e.g. 20 Signs of Fiancé Abuse; Sikh Lethality Assessment; Sikh Camp Safety resources.
Outreach, Training and Technical Assistance. Our outreach efforts show growing desire for more opportunities to absorb information in the privacy and comfort of phones/home, e.g., through our Suniyae circles, videos, storytelling. While our training and technical assistance continues to prove the need for gradual culture-change work.
