Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh Ji 🙏
Every contribution to this project helps us take another step towards a more thoughtful Nitnem experience.
As many of you already know, we've introduced Sundar Gutka Audio, bringing beautifully recorded Nitnem banis from three renowned Sevadaars into the app. This marks another step towards making Nitnem more accessible, whether you're reading, listening, or learning throughout your day.
Over the past few weeks, we've continued building the core features that will support the next generation of Sundar Gutka. While much of this work happens behind the scenes, it lays the foundation for the habit-building, learning and personalisation features.
✅ Recently Added: A More Immersive Reading Experience
We've improved the reading experience by redesigning the navigation bar.
Instead of permanently taking up screen space, it now automatically hides while you're reading and reappears with a simple tap or scroll. This gives Gurbani more room on the screen while keeping navigation close at hand whenever you need it.
❤️ In Progress
Dashboard:
One of the key features we're preparing is a personalised dashboard that brings your Gurbani journey together in one place.
It will provide an overview of your reading and listening activity and serve as the foundation for upcoming features like habit tracking and Nitnem streaks, designed to gently encourage consistency without becoming a distraction. As we continue testing and gathering feedback, we'll keep refining the experience before it's released.
In-App Seva Page:
We're also introducing a dedicated Seva page within the app, making it easier to contribute to Khalis Foundation's mission without leaving Sundar Gutka. The image below offers a glimpse of our progress so far.

Our vision is to make this a central place where the community can contribute through many forms of seva, whether by donating, testing new features, sharing feedback, volunteering their skills, or helping improve our products. Together, these contributions will support the continued development of free, ad-free Sikh resources.
Coming Soon: Advanced Reading Themes
We're building a new personalisation system that goes far beyond traditional light and dark modes.
Readers will be able to customise almost every aspect of their reading experience, including:
- Background colours and images
- Gurbani, translation and transliteration colours
- Vishraam and Larivaar highlighting
- Fonts and font sizes
- Borders and layout styling
- Showing or hiding translations and transliterations
- We'll also include thoughtfully designed built-in themes such as Light, Dark, Blue, Kesari, Puratan and Whitemaking it easy to choose a reading experience that's both comfortable and distraction-free.
We Need Your Support 🙏
We're still working towards our fundraising goal, and every contribution helps us continue building a thoughtful, accessible, and ad-free Nitnem experience for millions around the world.
Your support truly makes this work possible. Thank you for being part of this journey.
Waheguru Ji Ka Khalsa, Waheguru Ji Ki Fateh Ji 🙏
