For more than three years, Raj Academy has been expanding their educational programs to India.
Together with our local partner, the Institute of Sound and Mind, we deliver Gurmat Kirtan education through the Rababi Outreach program, where every student in India is 98% sponsored thanks to the generous giving of the Sangat and the continued Seva of our dedicated team.
With Guru’s blessing, we have also been able to support a school near Amritsar in partnership with the Anand Jeevan organization, where 62 children from disadvantaged backgrounds now learn Gurmat Kirtan completely free of charge.
Our teaching goes beyond music. Rooted in the Guru’s vision, we approach Kirtan education as a path to mental wellbeing and emotional agility, and as a way to build community and nurture the next generation of leaders.
In April 2027, a small team of trained teachers will travel to India to give in-person lessons, support current students, and run educational and outreach programs to reach new ones. All teaching is offered as part of Raj Academy’s Seva and is not paid. Through this fundraiser, we hope to cover the costs of making the trip possible.
Travel (to, from, and within India): $4,500
Food & accommodation: $1,300
Teaching: Offered as Seva
Total goal: $5,800
Every contribution, large or small, helps bring Gurmat Kirtan to more students in India and empower the next generation of Guru’s Rababis.
Thank you for being part of this Seva.
