What is DasvandhWeek?
DasvandhWeek is our ten days of giving each November, when matched gifts help the sangat do more for verified Sikh causes.

Ten days when the sangat gives together
DasvandhWeek is our biggest annual fundraiser: ten days each November when Sikhs across North America and beyond give to the causes they believe in, at the same time. It is the largest Sikh digital fundraising event of its kind, and it rests on one simple idea. You are going to give your dasvandh anyway, so give it when it goes furthest.
Sikhs give a tenth of what we earn to empower the Panth. DasvandhWeek gives that practice a shared moment. Instead of giving alone, you give alongside thousands of others in the same ten days.
Where it came from
DasvandhWeek began in 2013, a year after Dasvandh Network launched in beta. We started it as a dedicated annual campaign to raise matching funds from Sikh philanthropists and to bring new donors to Sikh causes. It has since grown into ten days of giving, and this November is our fourteenth.
The first four DasvandhWeeks raised $500,000 for the Panth. In 2021 a single DasvandhWeek brought in $500,000 on its own, and in 2025 it passed $1 million. The sangat did that by showing up, year after year, in the same ten days.
Why your gift goes further
The match is what sets DasvandhWeek apart. Donors fund a match pool in advance, and for ten days it matches gifts to our partner organizations, so every donation goes twice as far. Last year the sangat put almost $250,000 into the match fund. That pool unlocked more than $1 million for Sikh-led seva, through 4,656 donations from 2,063 donors. For every $1 in the match fund, more than $4 reached our partners.

You can take part in two ways. Give to the causes you care about during the ten days and your gift is matched. Or give to the match fund itself, which is how you double someone else's dasvandh. A bigger pool means the match lasts longer through the week, more partners receive matched support, and more donors see their gifts doubled. Match fund gifts are tax deductible, and none of that money goes to our own operations.
What it does for the organizations you support
DasvandhWeek is also how many Sikh organizations meet the sangat. For ten days thousands of donors are browsing the network, and the match gives them a reason to look at causes they have not seen before. In 2022, 1,500 of the 2,100 donors who gave were new to Dasvandh Network, and our site welcomed 20,000 new visitors.
The results reach the work itself. In 2022, 57 organizations raised an average of $12,000 in ten days, and 151 new monthly gifts were set up for 27 of them.
Last year, thirty organizations each raised more than $10,000, and we offered prizes of $12,500, $7,500, and $5,000 to the three that brought in the most unique donors. In 2024, the Educate Punjab Project raised $41,000 to support hundreds of students, and Sikh Family Center raised $35,000 to strengthen services for survivors of domestic abuse and trauma.
The shared match pool supports every partner at once, including smaller organizations without large donor lists of their own. Verified Sikh nonprofits join the network at no cost, and any organization that wants to be part of the next DasvandhWeek can apply to join.
Join us November 13 to 22
DasvandhWeek 2026 runs from November 13 to 22. You can start before it opens by giving to the 2026 match fund, which decides how far the match reaches. When the ten days begin, find the causes you believe in and give to them, once or monthly. Then invite your family and friends to give in the same ten days, because a dasvandh given together goes further than any one of us could reach alone.
