Successful Family Reunion after 10 Years of Care & Rehabilitation
Mrs. Neetu (67 years) was found abandoned and unclaimed in a critical condition on the roadside near Chanalon, Kurali, on 21/07/2015. She was brought to Prabh Aasra by concerned social workers and was immediately admitted for care, treatment, and rehabilitation.
For nearly 10 years, Neetu remained under the continuous care of Prabh Aasra, where she received medical attention, psychological support, counselling, and rehabilitation services. With consistent support, her condition gradually stabilized.

During counselling sessions with our psychologist, Neetu was able to recall details about her hometown in Kukrapani, Chhattisgarh. Acting promptly, the Prabh Aasra Mission Milaap Team, in coordination with the local police, traced and verified her family. The family confirmed her identity as their missing daughter, who had gone missing years ago due to her mental health condition. Despite years of searching, they were unable to locate her and had eventually lost hope.
After completing all legal formalities, a deeply emotional reunion took place on 10/12/2025, when Neetu’s son and brother arrived at Prabh Aasra to take her home. The family expressed heartfelt gratitude to the Prabh Aasra team for providing compassionate care, dignity, and protection to Neetu for almost a decade.This reunion stands as a powerful reflection of Prabh Aasra.
A Night of Rescue and Hope: Saving Chandan Kala
On a cold night at around 10:15 PM, Ms. Chandan Kala, aged around 65 years, was found in an extremely distressed and life-threatening condition on the roadside near Ravidas Dharamshala, Ward No. 13, Kurali. She was shivering uncontrollably from the cold, helpless, and visibly unwell, with no one around to support or protect her.
A concerned citizen, deeply moved by her condition, immediately contacted the Prabh Aasra helpline, seeking urgent assistance. Without any delay, Bhai Shamsher Singh, along with the Prabh Aasra Rescue Team, rushed to the location. The team also attempted to contact the emergency helplines, but no immediate response was received.

Recognizing the seriousness of the situation and prioritizing her safety and dignity, the Prabh Aasra team took immediate action. Ms. Chandan Kala was carefully rescued and brought to the Prabh Aasra Shelter Home, where she was provided warm clothing, food, shelter, and immediate medical attention. A complete medical check-up was conducted, and she was admitted for further care and protection as per organizational procedures.
A desperate struggle on a cold roadside turned into a powerful reminder of humanity in action. Today, Ms. Chandan Kala is safe at Prabh Aasra, surrounded by care, protection, and the dignity every individual deserves.
