Some were wandering… some were abandoned…All were waiting for someone to care.
At Prabh Aasra, Kurali, more precious lives have found safety, dignity, and a second chance at life.
Charanjit Kaur (50) was found in a heartbreaking condition outside Gurudwara Sri Guru Singh Sabha, Sector 65, Mohali. Battling mental illness, she lay wrapped in a torn plastic sheet outside the park, her clothes dirty, her hair severely tangled, and her condition deeply distressing. It was the compassion of the Gurudwara committee that brought her situation to light. When the Prabh Aasra team reached the spot, they immediately informed the administration and brought her in for treatment and care. Today, she is safe, receiving proper medical attention, and has already shown significant improvement.

Radha (65) was wandering helplessly on the streets of Kurali, struggling with mental illness and completely abandoned. Seeing her painful condition, a kind-hearted individual informed the administration. With timely intervention, she was brought to Prabh Aasra, where she is now receiving the care, treatment, and dignity she deserves.
Joginder Kaur (70) was rescued from the roads between Kharar and Kurali, battling mental illness and abandonment. She is now safe and cared for.

These are not just rescues....These are second chances at life.
With God’s grace and the support of kind-hearted donors like you, Prabh Aasra has transformed thousands of lives, reuniting many with their families and restoring dignity.
Even today, more than 450 individuals are under care and treatment.
