New Admission Report:
Prabh Aasra welcomed 16 new inhabitants in urgent need of care and protection. Referred by police authorities, district social-security and child-protection offices, village representatives, family members and concerned citizens, the group included vulnerable children, abandoned or wandering adults and elders, persons facing cerebral palsy and mental-health concerns, and an accident survivor requiring continued nursing support. Each admission was completed after verification and due procedure. The new inhabitants are now receiving safe shelter, nutritious food, medical treatment, counselling, education, supervision and individualized rehabilitation support—reaffirming Prabh Aasra’s commitment to restoring dignity, safety and hope.





Medical Camps and Mental Health Awareness
Prabh Aasra conducted healthcare and awareness initiatives: A two-day cancer awareness and screening camp, a free medical and first-aid camp at Shaheed Babu Singh Public School, a free medical camp at Village Ghator, and a Mental Health Awareness Programme. More than 621 people benefited from the recorded medical camps, in addition to participants in the mental-health programme. Services included cancer screening, general and dental check-ups, blood tests, blood-pressure and sugar monitoring, medicine distribution, first-aid awareness, basic life support training, counselling and guidance on preventive healthcare.




Prabh Aasra Celebrates Mental Health Awareness Month with an Interactive Session
Chief guest Gurpreet Singh Ghuggi, Dr. Nitin and S. Shamsher Singh shared valuable insights on mental health, emotional well-being and community support. The interactive session encouraged participants to seek timely help and overcome the stigma surrounding mental-health concerns.

Educational Visits and Practical Training
Students from Mind Tree School, Saraswati Group of Colleges, Dolphin College and Chandigarh University visited Prabh Aasra for educational exposure and practical learning. They observed resident care, rehabilitation, mental-health support, physiotherapy and daily welfare services. These visits promoted empathy, social responsibility and a better understanding of healthcare and community service.


Official Visit by DLSA Secretary Ms. Megha Dhaliwal
Ms. Megha Dhaliwal, Secretary of DLSA, SAS Nagar, visited Prabh Aasra with her team to review its facilities, resident care and rehabilitation services. She met founder Bibi Rajinder Kaur Ji and appreciated Prabh Aasra’s dedicated efforts and compassionate service towards people in need.

Assistive Technology Support for People in Need
We provide assistive technology and healthcare aids—including wheelchairs, patient beds, oxygen concentrators, mattresses, walkers and other essential equipment—to people in need. These aids support their safety, comfort, independence, daily care and recovery, helping improve their overall quality of life.

Visit of Punjabi Artist Ms. Sargun Mehta Ji
Mrs. Sargun Mehta Ji visited Prabh Aasra Unified Family and spent memorable moments with the children by distributing ice creams, interacting and dancing with them. She also generously donated air coolers, standing fans and ration items for the residents.Prabh Aasra sincerely thanked her for bringing comfort, happiness and positivity to the entire family.


Gurleen Kaur Shines at National Bowling Championship 2026
Gurleen Kaur proudly represented Prabh Aasra at the National Championship Bowling 2026 organized by Special Olympics Bharat at iCube, Monad Mall Delhi, she delivered an outstanding performance:
Gold Medal — Unified Mixed Category
Silver Medal — Double Mixed Category
Her achievement brought immense pride to the entire Prabh Aasra family.

International Yoga Day Celebration at Prabh Aasra
Prabh Aasra organized a special yoga session for inhabitants, children, elderly members and staff on International Yoga Day . Yoga trainer Ms. Gurpreet Kaur from Ropar guided participants through yoga postures and pranayama while explaining their benefits for physical and mental well-being.
The management encouraged everyone to make yoga part of their daily routine and plans to organize regular yoga sessions for residents and caregivers. The programme concluded with nutritious refreshments, including vegetable dalia and banana shakes.

A Joyful Day in Kasauli
We organized a one-day trip to Kasauli for our school going children. The outing offered a refreshing break filled with sightseeing, fun activities and joyful moments while promoting emotional well-being, social interaction and a sense of belonging.
