The recent floods in Texas left hundreds displaced, entire neighborhoods underwater, and families desperate for food, shelter, and help.
From the moment we arrived, UNITED SIKHS volunteers have been working around the clock — not just delivering supplies, but showing up where it matters most.

Since the start of this mission, our teams have:
- Served over 5,000 fresh, hot meal trays from the Sikh Center of San Antonio
- Distributed thousands of essential items — hygiene kits, medicine, baby formula, diapers, socks, work shoes, and more
- Reached dozens of sites across Kerr County — including homes, shelters, churches, and rural communities across both sides of the Guadalupe River

One story stands out👇
At Hunt United Methodist Church, a volunteer shared how just minutes before our team arrived, a young mother had asked: “Do you have any milk for my baby?”
There was none.
And then, our van pulled up — with milk in hand.
“It felt like divine timing,” the volunteer told us (watch the video here; timestamp 0:58 min)
We know it was Guru’s kirpa.
This mission was built by the sangat. Sikh families across Dallas, Austin, and San Antonio opened their homes for storage, donated their own trucks for delivery, and stood in the Texas heat handing out meals.

Our volunteers have reached:
- American Legion Post 208
- Hunt United Methodist Church
- Kerrville Police & Fire Departments
- Salvation Army, VFW, and downtown Kerrville
- Hispanic Baptist Church and local EMS stations
- Remote ranches and homes others hadn’t reached yet

We are grateful to everyone who has supported this mission — our donors, who made it possible to mobilize fast and at scale; our Disaster Relief Coordinator Moninder Singh and International Humanitarian Aid Director Gurvinder Singh, who have led with clarity and compassion; and every single volunteer who carried, cooked, and comforted with tireless dedication 🙏
