The floods that swept through Punjab this year left behind a trail of devastation — and UNITED SIKHS has been on the ground responding with urgency, compassion, and careful planning.
Agriculture:
Over 2,095 acres of farmland were reported as affected.
368 families identified agricultural losses.
31,317 seed-units are still needed to restart farming across 1,948 acres of field.
1 in 4 families had access to a tractor — leaving many without the tools needed for recovery.

Infrastructure & Homes:
779 households were surveyed.
476 of those reported damaged houses.
321 households remain in urgent need of repairs to stabilize their living conditions.

Psychosocial Support & Education:
214 elderly people faced psychological distress as a result of displacement and livelihoods being lost.
More than 1,200 children experienced trauma — with 61 already out of school and 960 at risk of dropping out without immediate intervention.

These numbers are more than data – they represent lives disrupted, families waiting, and fields that must be restored. Thanks to your support, UNITED SIKHS has already evacuated displaced families, delivered emergency rations, launched medical camps, and begun rehabilitating flood-hit villages.
Protection & Education of Children:
• 61 children are currently out of school
• 960 children are at risk of dropping out without immediate intervention
• 45 children were forced to work in the aftermath of the floods

Now, we shift our focus to rebuilding, restoring and renewing. With the sowing season ahead, the need for seeds, equipment, stable homes and mental-health support is urgent.
