March 18, 2026 (Nationwide) — Following a virtual Immigration “Know Your Rights for Sangat and Gurdwarae” presentation to more than 40 gurdwara leaders from 18 states last month, the Sikh Coalition has now added abbreviated video versions of these presentations in both English and Punjabi to the immigration resource hub on our website. These videos cover key information about how to interact with immigration enforcement agents at home, in the workplace, and at gurdwara.
Since February of 2025, the Sikh Coalition has been building a library of free English and Punjabi resources for the sangat to explore immigration questions and needs, including our “Know Your Rights: Immigration” and “Know Your Rights: Immigration Guidance for Gurdwarae.” We have also created fully designed digital versions of both documents, as well as printable flyers of each page for community use. Please keep in mind that they do not substitute for legal advice.
Most recently, the Sikh Coalition has launched a series of national advocacy campaigns around immigration policy proposals including, protecting immigrant truck drivers, requiring immigration officers to identify themselves and be unmasked, and reforms to the visa process for religious workers like granthis from India. You can TAKE ACTION TODAY on these and other campaigns by sending your elected officials in Congress a pre-written email from our free advocacy platform.
Finally, we want to emphasize that all of our work to protect the rights of Sikhs is only possible through your generous financial support. In the coming months, we will continue to provide virtual consultations for gurdwara leaders to help answer security and policy questions related to immigration by request. If you have questions, whether on behalf of yourself, a loved one, or your sangat, please do not hesitate to reach out to immigration@sikhcoalition.org.
As always, the Sikh Coalition urges you to practice your faith fearlessly.
